Physical Therapist

North Hawaii Community Hospital

 

Under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Services Leader, is responsible for providing physical therapy services as determined by medical direction, therapist judgment, patient needs and desires, and available facilities.

  

Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited entry-level degree program in physical therapy.

 

Minimum Experience: Two (2) years prior experience preferred.

 

Required Certification/License:

* Current Hawaii licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.

* Hawaii driver's license, abstract and no-fault insurance.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

* Knowledge of state and federal guidelines/regulations.

* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and moderate level of computer literacy.

* Strong organizational and planning skills.

* Ability to maintain highly sensitive and confidential material.

* Ability to anticipate tasks and prioritizes assignments.

* Ability to manage multiple projects.

Director of Rehabilitation Services

North Hawaii Community Hospital

Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Vice President Patient Care, the Director of Rehabilitation Services will plan, direct, supervise and administer the operations and clinical activities of the Rehabilitation Services Department. The Leader will develop and implement programs and assure compliance to hospital standards for promoting quality services.

 

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.

Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of management experience in a healthcare setting.

 

Required Certification/License:

* Current Hawaii licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
* Current BLS certificate.

   

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
* Knowledge of rehabilitation field, financial and personnel management.
* Knowledge of state and federal guidelines/regulations pertaining to rehabilitation services.
* Skill in professional development and supervision of others.
