The Lumbar Spine What’s a Segment got to do with it?

This course will take the participant through the relationships between the lumbar spine and pelvis. The participants will also learn how to work with patients who have a variety of orthopedic conditions. The essence of the activities for this class will help students think about conditions, what they may do to a patient and how to treat it. This level course is sectioned off for case study time, laboratory time, question and answer time tables and also treatment approaches. The vestibular apparatus will be reviewed and discussed and how it applies to rehabilitation. Island Hoppers, LLC will provide the participants with CCU credits, class materials at, pre and post exams and certificates from the class.

Dr. Pasag received his B.S. In Physiological Science from the University of California Los Angeles in 2000. He went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2007 from the University of Southern California. In 2008, Dr. Pasag completed a year-long orthopedic residency program with Kaiser Permanente. In 2010, he became a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist:  He has taught courses around the islands and is co-owner of Island Hoppers, LLC 

Dr. Cates received her graduate training at the MGH Institute of Health Professions where she received her doctor of physical therapy in 2005. She has continued to take manual therapy courses focusing on the spine, shoulder, knee, foot & ankle throughout her career. She is also a board certified orthopedic specialist and has taken classes on various manual techniques; She has taught courses with Jesse and is co-owner of Island Hoppers, LLC
