This exciting course will take the participant through the relationships between the lumbar spine and pelvis. The participants will also learn how to work with patients who have a variety of orthopedic conditions. The essence of the activities for this class will help students think about conditions, what they may do to a patient and how to treat it. This level course is sectioned off for case study time, laboratory time, question and answer time tables and also treatment approaches. The vestibular apparatus will be reviewed and discussed and how it applies to rehabilitation.  This course will also involved a systematic approach to the lumbar spine and pelvis with case studies supplied for study.

INSTRUCTOR:
Dr. Scott Benjamin and Dr. Jesse Pasag

INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY:

Dr. Benjamin received his undergraduate training from the Michigan Technological University and his physical therapy BScPT from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His finished his graduate work at the University of Maryland (DScPT) and obtained his manual therapy certification from IMPACT© with Jim Meadows. He has co-authored the Cram Session in Functional Anatomy; a Handbook for Students and Clinicians and has taught in the USA, Canada and Europe.  He has also published peer review papers in the USA and Europe.

Dr. Pasag received his B.S. In Physiological Science from the University of California Los Angeles in 2000. He went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2007 from the University of Southern California. In 2008, Dr. Pasag completed a year-long orthopedic residency program with Kaiser Permanente. In 2010, he became a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist.  Jesse is the owner of R.O.C.K. Physical Therapy, Inc. on Kauai.  Jesse is versed in manual therapy and also manipulation with mobilization.
