Congratulations to the following eight physical therapists who successfully passed the Level III certification Oral Practical Examination held on November 18, 2018. Jamie Ford, Mary Hughes, Brock Charleston, Mieko Iwamoto, Amanda Eller, Stephanie Trudell, Justin Rietfors, and Kathy Avery (photo).

Envisioning 2019 will include the above course offerings, fellowship training, and review sessions in preparation for the 630 Oral Practical Examination being held on February 23, 2020.

Guided by Erl Pettman, PT, MCSP, MCFA, FCAMT, one of four founders of NAIOMT and the lead instructor and examiner in Hawaii, the courses offer a beautiful mix of passionate lifelong learners: Physical therapists, Instructors-in-training, Lab assistants, Fellowship Program students, and DSc candidates and graduates. As site coordinator for the past twelve years, I envision a unique training model and learning experience for Physical Therapists; as skilled healthcare providers in caring for their community. For NAIOMT-Hawaii, a gathering place for lifelong learning, as ‘ohana’. The longstanding relationship with Mr. Pettman and Brett Windsor, CEO of NAIOMT, is priceless.

The timing allows for preparation with changes in CMS and HMSA. Keeping a step ahead, practicing with confidence, and feeling a fuller self-fulfillment in your professional career is WHY I do this. Whoever you are or wherever you are on your life’s journey, E komo mai (welcome, come in).
